Cheryl Ungar is a cancer survivor and a wedding photographer. And while that does not tell you everything you need to know about her, it does explain her new venture: The Wedding Pink, an organization the bestows the gift of a magical wedding onto a couple that, like Ungar, has battled breast cancer.
It seems almost obvious that she would create such a venture, but for Ungar, the timing was just right. The super talented Colorado wedding professional, who is a 20-year breast cancer survivor, recently realized that this particular moment “was the right time in my life to give back.”
“It was a natural fit,” she says of the annual Colorado wedding giveaway for a couple that has been impacted by breast cancer. “What better way to use my skills?”
This April, The Wedding Pink’s first beneficiaries said “I do” at Mile High Station in Denver. Cake, dress, flowers, candy, photo booth—all donated to Melissa and Jeff, a truly beautiful pair. The Wedding Pink is now looking for a couple for next year’s wedding in Vail. cherylungargives.com/submissions
